Digital Marketing – no two days are ever the same.
When people ask that question ‘what do you do’, through my marketing career I have always had a clear answer. I’ve worked on interesting brands in conversation-worthy industries, so the course of the conversation from that point forward has always been easy.
These days, saying ‘Digital Marketing’ or ‘Digital Sales Funnels’, unless talking to someone who is in the same world – kind of falls into the converation with a thud.
It’s more than likely because Digital Marketing Strategy & Delivery both require a very broad reaching base of skills.
It is similarly difficult to pigeonhole ‘what I do” here on this website what I ‘do’… so here it is:
“I help business owners clarify their brand position & values and create the supporting evidence that leads to creating paths for prospects to follow – resulting in a series of purchases and ending hopefully with brand advocacy & continued loyalty.”
Digital Marketing is simply about creating the right paths for people to engage with your business then progressively deepen the relationship between Brand Owner and Brand User.
While ads are involved at what we call the front end, that is literally just the wedge holding the door open. Digital Marketing strategy does not start and finish with ‘ads’. It starts with the consumer and ends with advocacy (and all the steps between).
What shape & form those micro steps take – that is your digital communications strategy.
Digital Comms will probably include ads, web pages, email & CRM – all are vital to the flow, and all are different skill bases.
For this reason, sometimes I outsource different elements and sometimes I manage them myself. It’s all about getting the best outcome.
So – Back to “What I Do”
First, we check in on your brand – to ensure you have a robust position.
Then we clarify your strategy for growth (and define what that means for you).
From Strategy Development comes the Work in Progress – identifying the steps required to deliver your strategy.
We can quote on delivery of those actions, or deliver coaching as required – or project manage as required.
In the instance that you would like us to manage the implementation or delivery – some elements we outsource on your behalf (Brand or Graphic Design, some mass or traditional media as two examples) – and some we manage in-house or outsource depending on capacity & scope of project. It all depends whether you ‘just want it done’, or if you want to be able to learn how to manage things forward yourself.
